Pac-Man Joins the Battle in Super Smash Bros.
The most recognizable character in video game history is chomping his way into the fray. According to a tweet from Nintendo of America, Pac-Man will be joining the character roster for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and the 3DS.
According to a follow up tweet, Pac-Man will have several abilities including throwing fruit and eating power pellets.
Super Smash Bros. was further updated earlier today during Nintendo’s Direct Media Presentation, which introduced Amiibo and a delay for the 3DS version of the game. The 3DS version of the game is scheduled to release on Oct. 3rd 2014, the Wii U version remains scheduled to release worldwide on the Wii U in Holiday 2014.
A mere few hours ago, Nintendo hosted the Super Smash Bros. Invitational which had 16 professional Super Smash Bros. players competing against each other in front of a live audience.
Nintendo also introduced other notable titles during their media event, including Mario Maker, Yoshi’s Wooly Worlds and a new Zelda game for the Wii U, all of which are scheduled to release sometime in 2015.
