Halo: The Master Chief Collection Announced

Microsoft has announced Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One. The collection will include Halo 1: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4, and is developed by 343 Industries. More importantly, however, is that Halo 2 will be getting the HD treatment. Players will also be able to switch from “New Mode” to “Classic Mode” during gameplay. The game’s classic multiplayer will also be intact, other than all of its maps converting to HD.

The package, on top of the four games mentioned, will also ship with the Halo: Night Fall digital series produced by Ridley Scott. The series’ story will lead into Halo 5: Guardians’ narrative. A Halo 5 beta will also ship with the collection, will start on December 27, and will last for about a month.

The collection will also include a whopping 4,000 Gamerscore points to achieve, and a total of 100 multiplayer maps ripped from all four main Halo entries, and a seamless, single-unified interface.

Players can get their hands on the collection, which will be all on one disc, starting on November 11, 2014.
