Uncharted 3 Single Player Free

Uncharted 3 Single Player Campaign Currently Free for All Players

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is literally being given away for free. As of right now, the single-player mode for the most recent entry in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series is available for zero dollars for all players. The single-player mode is usually free for Playstation Plus members.

There hasn’t been any official announcement from Sony or from Naughty Dog, so it’s quite possible that this is merely some kind of online glitch. It’s also possible that Sony was planning this for E3 and somehow it happened earlier than expected. I advise everyone who doesn’t own a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception to grab this download immediately.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception also has multiplayer mode that went free-to-play in Feb. 2013, though it’s not the same as this recent update given that the free multiplayer mode comes with a level cap. Later that year in November, Naughty Dog announced that an Uncharted game for the PS4 was in development. This new installment in the Uncharted series will likely debut at E3 next week, though given Naughty Dog’s recent employee activity, even that is uncertain.

UPDATE: Sony have since taken down the page for the Uncharted 3 Single Player Campaign. This seemingly confirms that the giveaway was unintentional.
