Mortal Kombat X Box Art Revealed

Following the official announcement for Mortal Kombat X, developer NetherRealm Studios has released the box art for the game. For anyone who’s watched the announcement trailer, and considering the fact that Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon loves the character, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Scorpion gracing the cover.

The developer also claimed that the game “launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.  For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together.”

The game is set to make an appearance at E3, so we’ll be sure to find more about the fighter soon enough.
