Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Comes PS3 & PS4 in August

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is coming to Sony’s consoles this Summer. Pop Cap Games Producer Brian Lindley posted on the Playstation Blog today, formally announcing that the previously Microsoft-exclusive Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be arriving on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 on Aug. 19.

The Playstation versions of Garden Warfare will feature all of the previously released downloadable content including the Garden Variety Pack and Zomboss Down DLC available on the day of release. The PS4 version will also feature remote play with the Playstation Vita and split-screen cooperative play. The PS4 version will be in glorious 1080p and will run at 60 frames per second. Finally, the popular Boss Mode feature will also be playable as a companion experience via the Playstation App on mobile devices.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is an online-multiplayer only class-based third person shooter that was initially released in North America on Feb. 25 exclusively for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The game is a spin-off to the popular tower-defense game Plants vs. Zombies.

While no official announcement has been made, Pop Cap Games have promised more DLC in the future for Garden Warfare.
