Final Fantasy III Releasing To Steam On May 27

Final Fantasy III is being released on Steam on May 27. This is the fifth Final Fantasy game to be released on Steam.

Final Fantasy III for Steam has been optimized for PC gaming with new and improved 3D visuals and story sequences. The game will also include Steam Trading Cards, Achievements, and new visual designs for the Job Mastery Cards. Being released on PC means players can browse through the monster bestiary faster than what they could have on other platforms.

The other Final Fantasy games that are currently on Steam are Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIIIand Final Fantasy XI.

Final Fantasy III has new graphics for the Steam release.

Final Fantasy III was originally released in 1990 on the NES. This particular game has been ported for the PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, Nintendo’s Virtual Console, iOS, Android, Ouya, and the Windows Phone.

The latest Final Fantasy didn’t fair so well, with the game series recently falling from grace into a tough spot. As the series continues to grow older, hopefully Square Enix can reclaim Final Fantasy and make the return to the spectacular series it once was.
