Games With Gold Coming To Xbox One Next Month

Xbox One gamers can finally expect free games to come their way, as Microsoft has officially announced that Games With Gold will be coming to the Xbox One platform in June. Xbox One Games With Gold will bring changes from its Xbox 360 counterpart however, as the free games will be subscription based instead of a permanent download which is format currently offered for Games With Gold Xbox 360 games.

While an official explanation has not been revealed, it seems that Microsoft is adopting the format of its competitor Sony’s PlayStation Plus model. That being that gamers will only have access to the titles that they download with Games With Gold for the duration of their paid Xbox Live Gold membership.

Next month, Xbox One Gold gamers can download Halo: Spartan Assault and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood for free. Microsoft has also announced that its “Deals With Gold” monthly sales will also making the jump to Xbox One starting next month, as Ryse: Son of Rome and Forza Motorsport 5 have been confirmed to be receiving a discount in June.

As for Xbox 360 fans, Microsoft has something for you as well on this big day of news. To celebrate the anniversary of the Games With Gold program, which is currently being used by 12 million players, Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Dark Souls, Charilie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition completely free next month as well.
