Microsoft Dates Its Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing

Microsoft had finally set the time and date for its annual Xbox E3 2014 media briefing. The briefing will take place at 12:30 p.m. Eastern/9:30 a.m. Pacific June 9.

Xbox’s Major Nelson also confirmed that the press conference is called Xbox: Game On, a title indicative of the company’s new focus on hardcore gamers. Microsoft is promising “everything from in-depth looks at previously announced games to trailers for our unannounced games coming in 2014 and beyond.” The company also has other “fan-centric events” planned before and after the presser it will announce at a later date.

Xbox One Boss Phil Spencer took to twitter recently revealing a slew of details of the company’s plans for E3, saying that it will be “another really strong year for us on stage with games.”

Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Nintendo have all revealed their E3 plans as well. Both EA and Ubisoft will hold press conferences per usual, while Nintendo will skip a live conference for the second time in a row. Sony has yet to date its conference, but has filed four game-related trademarks last month right before June.
