Sony Files Another Trademark, Called “Guns Up!”
Sony is continuing to file game-related trademarks ahead of E3, further proving this is just more than mere coincidence. The company registered “Guns Up!” last week, and is the fourth U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filing in the past month (spotted by NeoGAF) by Sony. The filing reads that “Guns Up!” is for “computer game software; downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; [and] video game software.” Other than that, no further info was given. A Sony spokesperson has replied to several news outlets stating the usual, that the company has “nothing to announce at this time.”
“Guns Up!” joins the three other trademarks Sony filed, “Entwined”, “Kill Strain”, and “Bloodborne.” It isn’t known who’s developing any of the fourth games mentioned, or even if they are being developed in the first place, (though is seems highly likely now). Sony has yet to date its E3 press conference, but we expect it to go live Monday, June 9th in the late evening.
Other companies, such as EA and Ubisoft, have already given dates. Nintendo has also announced its E3 plans, and will skip a live E3 press conference for the second year running.
