NHL 15 Coming To New and Old Systems This Fall

EA is bringing hockey to the next-gen this fall. EA revealed NHL 15 today with a short teaser trailer on their YouTube page and launched an official website detailing the game’s new features. EA promises that a full gameplay trailer is coming soon.

NHL 15 will use next-gen hardware to enhance the gameplay. The website boasts that in-game crowds will feature over 9,000 individual models. The players and the hockey puck will feature updated physics and the game promises authentic equipment, player likeness and hockey arenas.

EA has also revealed a partnership with NBC Sports. The NBC sports commentary team of Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick and Eddie Olczyk will be replacing Gary Thorne and Bill Clement from previous games. TSN analyst Ray Ferraro will also provide analysis. NHL 15 will feature authentic real-life broadcast integration spliced with game footage, presumably highlights, along with pre-game introductions.

EA are allowing fans to vote for the cover of NHL 15. Eight candidates have been announced including Phil Kessel, Drew Doughty, P,K, Subban and Patrice Bergeron. Voting will take place on a special website or can be tweeted using specific hashtags every Thursday.

According to the website, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will have significantly less features than their next-gen counterparts. NHL 15 will be coming to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this Fall.
