Mad Max Game Delayed

Mad Max Game Delayed to 2015

The Mad Max video game has been pushed back to next year. The new game by Avalanche Studios, the developer of Just Cause 2, was originally scheduled to release later this year, however a trailer posted on the WB Games Youtube channel reveals that the game has been delayed until 2015.

The new trailer focuses heavily on Max’s car, the Magnum Opus and showcases the car customization aspect of the game. The video description reads: “In the Wasteland, vehicles are more than a machine. They’re a way to live, a way to fight, a way to survive.”

Mad Max is an upcoming post-apocalyptic open-world car-combat video game currently in development for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. The player will control the titular Mad Max as he ventures across the barren wasteland in search of his stolen car, The Interceptor.

Mad Max will be based on the film of the same name although it won’t follow the events of the film. The game will instead, tell an original story within the Mad Max universe.

An extended trailer was also posted on the Playstation Youtube channel today and can be viewed here.
