Assassin’s Creed Sales Hit 73 Million
The Assassin’s Creed series is Ubisoft’s best selling franchise. Ubisoft updated their facts and figures page today and thus updated the sales figures of their major game franchises. The Assassin’s Creed series sits atop the list with 73 million units sold.
The Assassin’s Creed series has seen a new installment every year since 2009 and will continue later this year with Assassin’s Creed Unity for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows. In addition, there are rumors of a last-gen console game titled Assassin’s Creed Comet to be released alongside Unity.
The updated figures reveal that the Just Dance and Splinter Cell franchises are Ubisoft’s second and third best selling franchises respectively. The statistics also indicate several interesting facts, such as the Driver franchise having more sales than the Raving Rabbids series despite the former having a five year gap between games and the latter having an annual release for the last eight years.
