Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare gets free Western-themed DLC
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is getting free content today in the form of western-themed DLC. EA posted a trailer on YouTube today, revealing free DLC titled Zomboss Down. The update is currently available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The download totals at 2.8 GB and includes a western-themed map called Cactus Canyon, eight new playable characters (who each are each a variant on the current classes) and over 200 customization options. The update also adds 10 new achievements.
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is an online-multiplayer only third-person shooter that was released on Feb. 25 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One and was developed by Pop Cap Games. The game is based on the original tower-defense game Plants Vs Zombies, which was also developed by Pop Cap and was published by EA.
Zomboss Down is the second pack of free DLC to be released for Garden Warfare, following the Garden Variety pack which was released on March 25. The Garden Variety pack added new upgrades, a new game mode and a new map.
Leviathyn’s review of Garden Warfare described the game as an unusually lighthearted take on the shooter genre and concluded that the game is a fun but flawed experience, mostly due to technical issues.
