Borderlands 2 Final DLC Out Today

Since its release in September 2012, Borderlands 2 has been one of the most developer-supported games in history. Gearbox Studios has released roughly a dozen DLC expansion packs during the game’s lifespan, but finally, nineteen months after its initial release, that support is coming to a close.

The latest content, entitled Sir Hammerlock vs. The Son of Crawmerax , brings our Vault Hunters to Wam Bam Island in search of the titular Son of Crawmerex. You may remember Crawmerex from the original Borderlands DLC The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, but this time his offspring is the one wreaking havoc. This DLC brings the expected weapon and enemy additions, and can be picked up for $2.99 PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Don’t fret too much though, because your time in the Borderlands is far from over. Gearbox recently announced Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and we are still waiting on Telltale’s adaption Tales From the Borderlands. With any luck, these games will be half as successful as Borderlands 2, and we commend Gearbox on their exceptional support of a much beloved title.
