Beyond Good And Evil 2 Might Be In The Works At Ubisoft

Ubisoft Montpellier,a studio known for it work on the Rayman games, Origins and Legends, has stated that it may be considering finally developing Beyond Good and Evil 2.

“Working on Rayman Legends was a nice, early holiday,” series creator Michel Ancel said during a live stream. “So we are going to make serious games now. Beyond Good & Evil [is] a good candidate for making a real, serious game now.”

Ancel joked, “Enough holidays.”

Jade-BGEAncel also showcased a piece of concept art of protagonist Jade from the original game that he stressed isn’t part of the potential sequel.

Ubisoft recently officially dated its E3 press conference, and one of the games we believe will be showcased is none other than Beyond Good and Evil 2, and Ancel’s remarks only solidify these rumors. Other than that the company will focus on the two new Assassin’s Creed games it teased a month ago; current-gen only title Unity, which will take place in 18th century France, and last-gen only title Comet, which is reported to be a direct sequel to last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
