The Crew Will Run On 1080p And 30fps On PS4, Xbox One, and PC
Ubisoft has confirmed that its upcoming open-world action-driving game, The Crew, will run at 1080p and 30fps on both PS4 and Xbox One.
Creative director Julian Gerighty made the announcement while speaking with Videogamer, and has also detailed how each version of the game will handle and play differently, including how the studio plans to utilize the DualShock 4’s touchpad.
“[We’re] really trying to get parity across all versions, so it’s something that’s important to us not to branch out and not do individual things for individual platforms,” he said. “Reflections is doing the PS4 version and they’re doing an incredible job on it. We’ll be using the trackpad to manipulate the map and stuff like that, so they’ve really pushed two or three different things there.”
Ubisoft announced that The Crew will arrive in autumn 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This makes The Crew one of the first current-gen only titles in development at Ubisoft alongside Assassin’s Creed Unity, as games like Watch Dogs will also be available on last-gen systems.
