Is PAX Central Coming Soon?

After yesterday’s news filled day, everything after could be jokes left unnoticed. However, according to a picture tweeted out by Penny Arcade’s Business Manager Robert Khoo, there may be a new PAX Expo coming to convention to the Midwest.

The photo shows the Penny Arcade’s office with four clocks hanging on a wall, three of those clocks have logos of each of the current PAX locations: PAX Prime in Seattle, PAX East in Boston, and PAX AUS in Melbourne, Australia. The clocks are each set to the time zone of each PAX location, with the new fourth clock set to Central Time.

Before this new photo, Khoo showed that the wall used to have three clocks set to each PAX’s time zone.

PAX East will be happening in Boston in nine days, and the venue offers the perfect platform for Penny Arcade creators Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins to announce another PAX. They announced PAX Australia, the first PAX outside of the United States, at their panel at PAX Prime in Seattle.

The Central Time Zone has numerous cities that PAX Central can be held at, but the question that remains unanswered is which city could do it? Cities like Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Kansas City, Minneapolis, or Austin. Austin currently hosts the Rooster Teeth Expo, RTX, in July of every year. Maybe Rooster Teeth could share some space to host two major gaming conventions.

Until PAX East, the world can only speculate and hope that PAX Central will be in Austin since it has wonderful pizza.
