Shovel Knight Delayed For “A Few Weeks”

Yacht Club Games, developers of the Kickstarter darling Shovel Knight, announced today that the game will be delayed by “a few weeks” in order to “make the game great”.

Originally slated for a March 31st release, Yacht Club has announced the delay to work on a few things, specifically dialogue, balancing and putting the finishing touches on the last levels. They are also working on Steam controller support, which you can help with by heading to their Controller Bindings page and entering your controller info.

Yacht Club stresses that the delay should be very short, and that the game is “like…so done”. In a blatant attempt to bribe fans and backers (read: sarcasm), they have also released an interesting screenshot that shows the first look at what appears to be a town, complete with NPCs.

They are unwilling to announce a release date until it is finished, but the game is still slated for the Wii U, 3DS and Steam. Stay tuned here for up-to-date details on Shovel Knight, and check out this link for seven reasons you should be interested in it.
