Watch Dogs Released Date Spotted On Sony Store
A release date for Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world game, Watch Dogs, is listed on the Sony Entertainment Network store. According to the listing, which may or may not be true, the game will come out on June 30. The game’s digital price is $59.99, as expected. The date could have been put up early ahead of an imminent announcement, or it could just be a placeholder enabling digital pre-orders at the store.
Watch Dogs was delayed a month before the game was supposed to launch in November 2013, and Ubisoft has explained as to why that happened. Most of the blame, according to the publisher, can be associated with creative reasons. The company has stated several times that it’ll release a product when it’s ready, and by that definition Watch Dogs was just not good enough to release in November.
Whether or not the June 30 release date is real, it’s guaranteed to not come out for the Wii U on that date. Ubisoft announced last month that the Wii U version of the game has been delayed a little longer, and it did not detail as to why that is.
Watch Dogs will come out sometime this year, perhaps June 30th, for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC with the Wii U versions further on.
