Konami Announces New President

Konami Digital Entertainment announced today that Tomohiro Uesugi will be taking on the role of president. Uesugi previously held the role of executive vice president of the company.

“Mr. Uesugi brings a reputation and history as a transformational leader with a strong track record of driving revenue and promoting organizational development. This experience will offer a unique perspective to Konami, which will help further the company’s brand and sales in North, Central and South America,” Konami release in a statement.

Konami is working on a number of current franchises, notably Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid.  With the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, Uesugi will have his work cut out for him.  Luckily, he seems ready.
