Fez PS4, PS3, PS Vita Release Date Announced

The Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Playstation Vita release date for the critically acclaimed Fez has been revealed. The game will be available on all three platforms on March 25 in North America and March 26 in Europe.

A Playstation Blog post explains that the game will run at a 1080p resolution with 60FPS on the Playstation 4, 720p and 60FPS on Playstation 3, and at native resolution on PS Vita. The game will fully support Crossplay and Crossbuy. The game won’t contain any new significant features on all three Playstation platforms, but the PS4 version of the game will make use of the DualShock 4’s lightbar and 3D TV support.

It was announced last year that Fez has sold one million copies. Its long awaited appearance on all three major Playstation platforms will obviously increase that sales number substantially. Fez creator Phil Fish announced a sequel to the game, but then left the industry entirely one month later, canceling the game in the process. Fish largely blamed constant criticism geared towards him and his team, especially on Twitter, as the main reason for his departure from video game development.
