New Batman Arkham Game May Be Revealed Soon

Rocksteady Games might be revealing a new Batman Arkham game pretty soon. Kotaku reported that GameStop received a shipment of Batman posters, a lot earlier than expected, that showcase the Arkham logo surrounded in flames. The existence of these posters were verified by several news outlets, and were confirmed by numerous GameStop stores.

Rocksteady Games’ first foray into Batman was the lauded Batman: Arkham Aslyum, which launched back in 2009 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game was followed by its sequel, Arkham City, in 2011. The title also received high critical praise, winning several awards in the process. The latest entry in the series however, Arkham Origins, was developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, and saw a slight dip in quality as a result. Rocksteady hasn’t released a game for almost three years now, which further suggests that the anticipated reveal for their next project will come soon. Whether or not it’ll be for next-gen consoles is a bit of news we’ll have to wait for, but we should expect to see it on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

GameStop’s magazine, Game Informer, usually does its big game reveals on the first week of each month, which is next week for March. Arkham Origins was revealed on a Game Informer cover as well last year.

We’ll update the news story accordingly, so stay tuned.
