24 Star Kiefer Sutherland Worked On A New Mortal Kombat
Actor Kiefer Sutherland, star of TV show 24, revealed to IGN that he was involved with an upcoming, unannounced Mortal Kombat game. While talking about his role as Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V, Sutherland said “I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like [MGS5].”
Sutherland also explained that he completed Mortal Kombat “pretty quickly compared to [MGS5].” He’s been working on Metal Gear Solid for over a year. Both publisher Warner Brothers and developer NetherRealm Studios did not confirm the news. NetherRealm’s last game was last year’s Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes, will be out March 18 in North America and March 20 in Europe. But the prequel is not without its controversy. Publisher Konami publicly defended the game’s length, which supposedly is only around 2-3 hours. The title also runs in native 1080p only on Sony’s PS4, while it reaches a 720p resolution on Microsoft’s Xbox One. Creative Director Hideo Kojima also warned fans not to compare Ground Zeroes to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots as the former focuses on open-world gameplay.
