Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Announced

Hasbro announced a new Transformers game during their presentation at the NYC Toy Fair today. Titled Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, it appears that the game will allow players to choose their own moral path, aligning themselves with either good or evil. The game is expected to launch on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, and 3DS sometime in 2014.

This announcement comes on the heels of the reveal of Transformers Universe earlier this month, a massively online tactical action game (MOTA) that allows players to be commanders of a squad of bots specially designed by Jagex and Hasbro. Players will form alliances and battle each other online using these bots and their unique abilities and weapons, and some of the more memorable characters within the Transformers Universe will make an occasional appearance in the game.

Transformers Universe is currently in beta and is scheduled to release later this year. To learn more about the game and how to sign up and play for free, check out its website.

Peter Cullen’s voice always gives me chills. But no developer announced? Looks similar to High Moon’s games, which were greatness. The Transformers-verse is a great setting for multiplayer and the War/Fall of Cybertron games had some fantastic multiplayer.
