Titanfall Beta Goes Public On Xbox, PC To Follow

Microsoft has announced today that the beta to the upcoming Respawn Entertainment first-person shooter, Titanfall, will be going public Saturday evening on Xbox One. Respawn founder Vince Zampella later confirmed the same thing will occur for PC users starting on Sunday, Feb 16. He also stated that servers should hold up, with the worst case scenario being “delays in finding a server during peak times.” The beta was private prior to the announcement and required a unique code to get in.

Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb revealed the news on his blog.

“Later today, the teams will be opening up the Titanfall Beta to all Xbox One owners,” he wrote. “That means no code will be necessary to download and play the beta. We are really excited to get a good test on all of our systems before launch and encourage you to join in.”

“To download the beta, sign in to your Xbox One and head to the “New Game Demos” section of the Game Store and it will appear there. You can also say “Xbox Bing” then “Show me game demos,” he continued.

He also noted that it can take some time for some Xbox Ones to see the demo in the store. If you don’t see the demo available straight away, Hryb advised to just stay calm and wait patiently.

Titanfall will launch on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11th.
