Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter Available in Early March

Microsoft announced that the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter will be available worldwide in early March. While Microsoft already confirmed that an adapter was in the works, no release window was given at the time.

The adapter, which will retail for $24.99, allows Xbox One owners to use any current gaming headset they might have in their possession. Players can add game audio by either connecting the headset to the Xbox One using an optical cable or directly to the TV using RCA cables. The adapter itself includes volume controls, as well as a mute button.

In addition, Microsoft revealed the Xbox One Stereo Headset. Also available worldwide in early March, the headset will come bundled with the adapter. Unfortunately, no mention was made of any Dolby Digital support, which has yet to see any availability for Xbox One headsets.

The Xbox One Stereo Headset will go for $79.99. If you are not interested in the headset, however, the bundled headset should serve you just fine.
