World of Warcraft Connected Realms List Updated, More Connections Scheduled

Blizzard has announced dates for more upcoming server connections in their World of Warcraft connected realms system. This system effectively merges servers together, combining player base, guilds, auction house, leveling zones and more.

The main focus of the World of Warcraft connected realms system is to combine low population servers to provide a better game experience and allow for more social aspects of the game like pick-up groups and questing to work. This will be especially important as Warlords of Draenor will feature perks for running instances with pick-up groups and guild teams.

Currently scheduled realms are as follows:

February 6, 2014

  • Hydraxis and Terenas
  • Kirin Tor and Steamwheedle Cartel
  • Shattered Halls and Executus/ Kalecgos
  • Thunderlord and Azgalor/Azshara/Destromath
  • Uther and Runetotem

February 13, 2014

  • Alterac Mountains and Balnazzar/Gorgonash/The Forgotten Coast/Warsong
  • Azjol-Nerub and Khaz Modan
  • Eldre’Thalas and Korialstrasz
  • Farstriders and Silverhand
  • Spinebreaker and Wildhammer

Other planned realm connections include:

  • Alexstrasza and Terokkar
  • Cenarion Circle and Sisters of Elune
  • Exodar and Medivh
  • Feathermoon and Scarlet Crusade
  • Frostwolf and Vashj
  • Gorefiend and Spinebreaker/Wildhammer
  • Gundrak and Jubei’Thos
  • Mug’Thol and Dragonmaw/Akama

World of Warcraft has been undergoing many changes that are making realms less of an important barrier. Server connections, cross-realm zones and mailable heirlooms make it possible to level with any friends from the same faction easily.
