Madden NFL 25 Has Broncos Winning The Super Bowl

EA has put Madden NFL 25 to the task of predicting the winner of Super Bowl XLVIII. With the big game less than a week away, Madden has predicted the Broncos to be crowned champions, with a 31-28 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

EA shared a detailed account today that chronicles what exactly happened in the simulation game. The first half was dominated by good defensive plays, with Richard Sherman intercepting a throw and scoring a touchdown. The half ended with a 10-7 Seahawks lead.

In the second half, however, Broncos came out on top with three touchdowns (one each for Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Knowshon Moreno). But the team surrendered their lead to a last-second touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch and a subsequent two-point conversion. The Seahawks forced an overtime, where the Broncos secured the win with a 48-yard field goal from Matt Prater.

Peyton Manning was named the virtual game’s MVP, with a total of 322 passing yards and three touchdowns under his belt.

The simulation was done with updated rosters with the Xbox One version of the game being used. EA also notes that Madden has correctly predicted the winner of 8 of the last 10 Super Bowl games.

Superbowl XLVIII will air February 2, at 6:30PM Eastern / 3:30PM Pacific in MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.
