Minecraft PS3 Has Sold 1 Million Copies
Minecraft on Playstation 3 has sold one million copies since its release on December December 17 last year.
Developer Mojang announced the news on PS Blog, saying:
“It is crazy considering the game was released just before Christmas last year. We are super grateful for the support and we are very thankful for your dedication and I hope you will like the future updates we have planned for you.”
This means that the game has sold a million copies in just one month, even after being available on other platforms for quite some time now. Minecraft has also sold 10 million copies on Xbox 360, and 13 million copies on PC, making it one of the best selling games of all time with a combined total of 24 million copies sold thus far.
Minecraft is still expected to release on both the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita sometime this year, which would once again increase the game’s total life time sales. The title will also make its debut on Xbox One, but with a promise of a handful of significant changes. No exact release date for any of the three platforms was mentioned.
