Witcher 3 Close To Maxing Out Power Of Xbox One/PS4

CD Projekt Red CEO Marcin Iwinski has revealed that the developer’s next upcoming next-gen title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is utilizing nearly every ounce of power from both the Xbox One and PS4.

“There is a lot of power in these machines, and I don’t want to say we’re using them to their capacity, but we’re fairly close to doing so,” Iwinski told IGN.

A major reason why CD Projekt Red has been able to squeeze out nearly every ounce of power from both systems so early on in their life cycles, is because the studio opted to skip development for Xbox 360 and PS3 nearly two years ago.

“So we’ve spent a lot of time with these machines, and it’s been a great experience across all three platforms. On the old platforms, namely the Xbox 360 and PS3, we probably would have had to sacrifice nearly half of our vision,” Iwinski said.

Iwinski also told IGN that the game will have over 36 possible endings and up to 100 hours of gameplay altogether.

The game will make its debut sometime in 2014 for Xbox One, PS4,and PC.
