Historical RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance to be Released via Kickstarter

In a surprise announcement, Warhorse Studios has started a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming historical RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance.  The project is well on its way to being funded, as one day after the announcement it has already raised over £100,000 of its £300,000 goal.

According to the Kickstarter’s page, Kingdom Come will take place in a realistic interpretation of Medieval England.  It will feature melee combat based on 15th century fighting styles, an open-ended class system, a non-linear story in an open world and over 70 hours of gameplay.  A digital copy of the game’s first act will cost £15 ($23.20 USD).  Higher tiers include a sword with a personal inscription, a printed manual, a CD copy of the soundtrack and access to the game’s other two acts as they are released.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is set for a late 2015 release on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux.

UPDATE: Kingdom Come: Deliverance has now reached its goal with 27 days to go.
