Super Smash Bros. Single-Player Mode Teased?
Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai posted a photo from the 3DS version of the upcoming fighting game that showcases some kind of single-player mode for the title.
The screenshot (below) was first posted on Miiverse and looks like some sort of an adventure mode. There were some rumors going around that this might be a story mode of sorts for the game, but Sakurai explained to fans that this isn’t anything like Brawl’s Subspace Emissary.
“Pic of the day. Where am I……?? To be clear, the new Super Smash Bros. games does not feature a story mode like The Subspace Emissary,” he wrote.
Super Smash Bros. was announced all the way back in 2011, and is finally set to make its debut on both the Wii U and 3DS sometime this year. There are a total of 21 confirmed fighters for the game, with more expected to be announced leading up to the game’s launch.
Also to note, both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game will boast separate trophy lists. Good news for all those looking to pick both versions of the title.
