Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Pushed Back to February 25
Developer PopCap announced that its Plants vs. Zombies spinoff, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, has been delayed in North America and Europe.
Originally set for a February 18 release date in North America, the multiplayer third-person shooter will now be released on February 25. The European release date has also been pushed back, from February 20 to February 27. Keep in mind that these dates are for the game’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions, since they will be timed exclusives.
No reason was given for the slight delay. No mention of the PC version was mentioned, while Gematsu spotted a PlayStation 4 version of the game on the Korean Game Rating Board.
Garden Warfare will offer several game types, which include Garden Ops, which will have four players playing cooperatively to defeat several bosses, such as the Yeti Zombie and Giga-Gargantuar. In addition, there will be two 12 vs. 12 modes: Garden & Graveyards, which has players defending their base against incoming enemies, and Team Vanquish, which is the game’s take on traditional team deathmatch.
The Xbox One version, meanwhile, will have Boss Mode. Exclusive to the console, the game mode will enable SmartGlass and Kinect functionality in order to control either Crazy Dave or Doctor Zomboss, the latter of which is voiced by Russell Brand.
