Professional Halo Player Lands Job at 343 Industries

Professional Halo player Eric “GH057ayame” Hewitt recently revealed, via his Twitter bio and an image of a boarding pass that showed he was headed for Seattle, that he is now employed at 343 Industries. Hewitt is mainly known for being part of Team Carbon, as well as creating the Team Showdown playlist in Halo 4.

Last year, 343 Industries hired professional players Mason “Neighbor” Cobb and Sean “Dersky” Swidersky, both of which are most likely aiding in the development of the next Halo game. It is due to launch later this year as an Xbox One-exclusive, with Microsoft Senior PR Manager Rob Semsey reassuring fans of the release window. The reassurance came as a result of fans’ worries since the Xbox One Halo title was not included in Microsoft’s list of games headed to the Xbox One this year.

Not much information about the next Halo title has been divulged, though 343 Industries General Manager Bonnie Ross confirmed that it will use dedicated servers, run at 60 frames per second, and take advantage of Microsoft’s cloud technology. Hewitt’s role at 343 Industries has not been divulged.
