PSN Update: Two Free Games for Plus Members Available Tomorrow
Listen up, PlayStation Plus members! Sony’s helping ring in the new year by giving both PlayStation 3 and 4 owners a free download for their Instant Game Collection. Starting January 7th, PS3 owners will be able to download Devil May Cry (DmC) and those lucky enough to own a next-gen console will have access to Don’t Starve on PS4.
DmC is a reboot of the classic character action game Devil May Cry. Developed by Ninja Theory and featuring all the fast, fluid combat seen in the original, DmC puts a fresh coat of paint on the classic franchise and allows players to battle the demon hordes by stringing together long chains of attack combos using the different weapons available to Dante. One of our writers was a big fan of the reboot, and you can read his thoughts here.
Don’t Starve puts players in the role of Wilson, a Gentleman Scientist trapped in a wilderness world by a demon. Wilson will have to build shelter, hunt, and gather items in order to survive this wilderness world.
Along with these two, owners of both the PS3 and PS4 have access to other titles on the Instant Game Collection as well. The highly-acclaimed Resogun is still free on the PlayStation 4, while Borderlands 2, Binary Domain, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Dyad are currently available on PlayStation 3.
