Halo is Coming to the Xbox One in 2014
In news that’s surprising to no one, the next iteration of the Halo franchise will come out sometime in 2014 for the Xbox One. In a tweet by Microsoft Senior PR Manager Rob Semsey, he reassured fans that the “next Halo journey” will start in 2014.
Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm

This reassurance came out because some people were confused as why Microsoft did not include Halo as one of the Xbox One’s games coming in 2014.
The reason why the massively popular FPS was left of this list was because the final name for the next game hasn’t been finalized yet. Last week, Xbox Australia stated in a Facebook post that the new Halo game was going to be called Halo 5, but Microsoft subsequently said that the post was made erroneously.
The only information about the next Halo game that Microsoft has shown to the public was the short teaser during Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference. The trailer shows Master Chief wandering around in a desert when a giant winged robot bursts out of the sand.
The fact that the next installment in the series isn’t simply called Halo 5 may have larger implications. Will the game be a greater departure in terms of story and gameplay if it isn’t just a continuation of Halo 4? Only time will tell.
