Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season Two Gets Release Date

Ehrmagerd, Season Two is almost here.

Sorry, I get a little excited, and I don’t think I’m the only one.  After the breakaway success of Telltale’s adaptation of the Walking Dead, gamers have been chomping at the bit to play the next installment.  Looks like that date might be closer than some of us realized.  Word was that it was coming to Steam on December 17th, but console gamers didn’t have any definite dates to look forward too.  Thanks to Major Nelson, that is no longer true.

On his website, Major Nelson reveals that Season 2 will be available on Xbox 360 one day later than Steam, Dec. 18th.  It will be available for $4.99, and along with it, the entirety of Season 1 will be discounted at 66% off.  If you still haven’t experienced it, there is no better time than now.

This is perhaps the biggest announcement included in a string of reveals from Telltale.  In addition to this, they are also working on The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2.  And just in case that weren’t enough, they have also announced upcoming adaptations of A Game of Thrones and a series taking place in the same universe as Gearbox’s Borderlands series, called Tales from the Borderlands.  That would be a lot for any studio to handle, so I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope they aren’t putting too much on their plate, and sacrificing quality for quantity.

Regardless, I couldn’t be more excited for Season 2, and I’m glad to know the wait is almost over.
