Telltale Announces Tales From the Borderlands for 2014
Telltale have once again surprised and delighted fans with the announcement of a new collaborative project with Gearbox: Tales From The Borderlands. Yes that’s right, creators of The Walking Dead have got their hands on the beloved Vault Hunter property and are set to be the prime developers on this episodic game. The project is set to include both existing Borderlands characters and a new set of characters, some of whom will be “wanna-be Vault Hunters” according to Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox. Not only that, but you’ll be able to shoot the heck out of stuff according to Telltale’s president, Kevin Bruner:
You get to shoot stuff, but in a different way. In a Telltale way.
Tales From The Borderlands is also set to play out like a Telltale game, so anyone who remembers The Walking Dead will probably know this means making tough choices and talking to the characters. The decision to team up was made last year after The Walking Dead won Game of the Year.
At the moment this is all that was announced on the new title – currently we don’t even know what console the game will be released on. Check out the teaser trailer for Tales from the Borderlands below, and keep waiting for any new announcements!
