Dying Light: VGX Gameplay Demo
Techland showed off some new gameplay for their parkour zombie killer, Dying Light, during VGX. Take a look for yourselves:
The game looks pretty fun, a lot smoother than their previous zombie effort, Dead Island. Running around, climbing, fighting, just everything, it all seems to be really fluent. The environment seems to be absolutely perfect for parkour, which is great. Free-running is something I love to do in games because I’ll never be able to do it in real life, so any game that gets that right scores a few points in my book.
But part of me is still hesitant, as these are the guys who made Dead Island, which was a really clunky and buggy mess. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy Dead Island, it’s just that it actually took me a while to get it in working order. Nonetheless, I’m hopeful about Dying Light and will be eagerly following this title until release.
