Titanfall Gets a Release Date
Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced today that the highly anticipated multiplayer shooter Titanfall is set to release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11, 2014.
In Titanfall, players will have the option of playing as an agile assault pilot capable of pulling off free-running parkour moves or suit up in a 24-foot mech called a Titan while fighting against other players. Fast-paced gameplay is at the core of Titanfall, and myriad options made available to players will allow them to switch battle tactics on the fly.
For those who really feel like investing a pretty penny into Respawn’s game, you’re now able to reserve a collector’s edition of the game at specific retailers for $249.99. The collector’s edition includes the game, an 18″ hand-crafted Atlas Titan statue with battery-powered LED lights and a diorama, an art book, and a full schematic poster for the Atlas Titan.
The game is currently being developed by “key designers” behind the Call of Duty franchise and managed to wow our own Jason Kwon at E3. Read his full preview here, and listen to the E3 debriefing podcast for more of his thoughts.
