No Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag DLC for Wii U
The newest entry in Ubisoft’s action-adventure open world franchise Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag won’t be offering Wii U players with any of its previously announced DLC, according to Polygon.
Ubisoft didn’t comment on their reasoning behind this decision to neglect the Nintendo console, despite selling DLC for Assassin’s Creed III on Wii U.
The so-far announced DLC, Freedom Cry, will include a new single-player campaign where players take on the role of protagonist Adewale, a former slave who is second-in-command to AC4:BF’s protagonist Edward Kenway.
Freedom Cry will be included in the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag season pass and DLC pack which collects the Kraken Ship pack, multiplayer characters and more for $19.99 USD.
Playstation owners will receive a large batch of exclusive content, including missions using Aveline from Assassin’s Creed: Liberations.
Ubisoft says all downloadable content will be released by March 2014.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release on October 31st 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, with PC to follow in November.
