Harrison Ford Talks Blade Runner 2

In a recent interview with IGN, Harrison Ford was asked about Blade Runner and whether or not there was any discussion about an eventual sequel to Ridley Scott’s Sci Fi classic going on behind closed doors. Ford replied positively by saying, “yeah, we’ve been chatting about it.”

Scott has been talking about creating a sequel to the original film for some time, and has even discussed screenwriters and returning actors to join the cast.

Ford shared his enthusiasm for working on the project in the interview: “I truly admire Ridley as a man and a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of the story.”

No other details or official announcements were discussed, but it’s clear that an eventual Blade Runner 2 is slowly becoming inevitable.

The original Blade Runner starred Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, a “Blade Runner” who takes up one last job of “retiring” (or destroying) a group of escaped organic robots called “replicants” in a 2019-era Los Angeles. The film has since become something of a cult classic since its original 1982 release and continues to be one of the most beloved films of Ridley Scott’s already influential lineup.
