Battlefield 4 Creative Director Assures Bad Company Hasn’t Been Forgotten
During a Battlefield 4 event Lars Gustavsson, the creative director for Battlefield 4, stated that another Bad Company game will happen. He clarified this statement by saying that it isn’t happening right now, due to the many projects happening at EA-DICE right now. He said this:
My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion…
And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don’t take yourself too seriously.
Gustavsson said that Bad Company hasn’t been forgotten and they’re willing to have it see a comeback.
EA currently has DICE working on other titles like Mirror’s Edge 2, Star Wars: Battlefront, so it’s easy to see why they’re a little preoccupied right now.
Battlefield: Bad Company came out for Xbox 360 and PS3 exclusively in 2008, but Bad Company 2 saw a release across Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in 2010. Both games were well-regarded Battlefield games, liked for both their keen sense of humour, solid visuals, and gameplay design. That, and their awesome destructible levels.
Are you excited to hear about the return to Bad Company, or would like prefer a Battlefield 5?
