Wii U Version of Batman: Arkham Origins Will Cost Less
The Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins will be multiplayer-free, so Warner Bros. cut the price. The game will sell for $50 instead of the PS3 and Xbox 360’s price of $60.
Batman: Arkham Origins on the Wii U will have all of the features that the other versions do, with the exception of multiplayer. So expect the open-world single-player mode made by Warner Brothers Montreal across all platforms. The multiplayer for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions have been developed by Splash Damage. It’s still not clear as to why the Wii U version isn’t getting multiplayer, but it is nice that the publisher has cut the price to to make a little more enticing.
Some sites are still listing the Wii U version with the $60 price tag, but expect that to change soon.
Warner Bros. Montreal is also the team that handled Arkham City’s Wii U port, so hopefully they’ll step it up with Arkham Origins, since they should be familiar with the hardware now. It would also be nice of them to throw in some sweet features for single-player on the Wii U since you are missing out on multiplayer.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be launching on October 25th for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U.
