Dead Rising 3 to Have Multiple Endings
Dead Rising 3 will follow in its predecessors footprints by offering gamers multiple endings that are determined by the decisions that you make during gameplay, according to Capcom Vancouver producer Mike Jones in an interview with OXM.
“I think typically we’ve always had about somewhere between six and 10, something like that,” Capcom Vancouver producer Mike Jones told OXM. “There’s a handful of branching points that make a significant difference, and whether you’re able to play beyond the normal timeline or not.
“Previous Dead Risings would always have modes like the Overtime mode, where you get to discover the truth behind everything that’s been going on,” he said. “So there’s not just the six days, we’re going beyond that if you make the right story decisions. So it’s not like choose-your-own-adventure crazy infinite endings, there’s a finite amount, but they all [correspond to] meaningful story decisions that you make as you play through.”
He also included details about the game’s experience system, which will give Nick Ramos attribute points that can be used on different things including weapon improvements. By understanding and carefully spending your attribute points, players will be able to lessen restrictions on the items that they combine making it much easier to create the more outlandish parts of Nick’s garrison easier to create.
