Xbox One Launches November 22nd
Microsoft’s next generation console, the Xbox One, is to launch and hit retail on November 22nd at $499. The launch date is set for North America and 13 other markets including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, UK, and New Zealand. The launch date comes just after the release date set for Sony’s next generation console, the PlayStation 4, November 15th. However the PS4 will launch for Europe on the 29th. Countries missing out on the release date are Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland. The release date for these countries won’t be until some time into 2014.
The retail price for the Xbox One is $499 for the US, €500 in Europe, and £430 in the UK. The contents include the controversial Kinect sensor, headset, controller, and HDMI cable. Our European friends get a free copy of FIFA 14 with there day one pre-order.
