EA Sports Adds Women Fighters in New UFC Game
Sports UFC will be the first game of its kind from Electronic Arts to have women fighers, according to the press release from EA Sports. The first two women fighters to the roster Ronda Rousey (above left), the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion, and Miesha Tate (right). It’s no surprise that these two are the first in what we hope more to come female fighters, both are coaches on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter.
“Since we added the Women’s Bantamweight division earlier this year, the women have impressed everyone,” said Dana White, UFC President. “The fights are always exciting, Ronda Rousey is as talented as any champion in the UFC and her rivalry with Miesha Tate is one of the most intense in UFC history. The female division has become a huge part of the UFC and fans will now be able to experience fighting with them in the game.”
No confirmation yet on how many more female fighters may be making the roster on EA Sports UFC, which is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the spring. See the entire press release here.
