Sony has plans for a virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Direct broadcasts tomorrow. You wont want to miss this, here on your Leviathyn Minute.
Good evening everyone, I’m Stephen Basile and today is Tuesday, September 3rd 2013.
We start off today covering a news break around Sony’s next generation console, the PlayStation 4. Sony is developing a virtual headset for the PS4, simular to the open sourced Oculus Rift headset. The report claims that the headset, VR headset, has already been demoed internally with the PS4 exclusive DriveClub. No comment has been made about the device, Eurogamer found out that the device was suppose to debute at Gamecom this year but at the last moment was pulled. The VR headset is expected to appear sometime next year.
Nintendo is expected to announce more details on Pokemon X and Y tomorrow at their Nintendo Direct stream. The online stream, which Nintendo holds quarterly, will bring to surface more details about the next Pokemon game expected to hit shelves this October.
The creators of Timesplitters is working on a new sequel, Timesplittlers Rewind. Michael Hubricka, the lead developer for the game has claimed in an interview with Cinema Blend that they are already working on the next game and expect and alpha version to come out later this year. The development so far is 20% complete. Michael did give caution though about the game and its development stating that it will ultimatly be up to Crytek whether or not the game sees the light of day.
New footage of Dragon Age: Inquisition has appeared on Youtube today, the footage shows off Frostbite 3 engine and the potential the engine can bring to the game. You can check out the footage on our website following the link in our notes.
Microsoft has announced today that the NFL app and ESPN app are coming to Xbox One. Recently Microsoft has partnered with NFL.com to bring you football statistics and live feeds. You can also keep track of your favorite teams and manage your fantasy football squads. Although the Xbox One is still a few months away, you can get access to the NFL app today for your Xbox 360.
