Capcom Essentials

Capcom Essentials Edition Announced For October 2013

Capcom has announced Capcom Essentials, a special collection featuring 5 of Capcom’s biggest games in one convenient place! Available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, all it will cost you is $59.99 and you get a free Capcom travel bag! (Not sure whether that’s an incentive to buy it or not, but it’s free with the games anyway!) It will make a great present if you’ve missed these titles or just want something epic to kill some time with, and in this special edition you will be getting a copy of:

  • Resident Evil 6 – Alright, probably not the best game in the series if I’m honest, but at least it’s coupled with other games as well! Resident Evil 6 features 4 distinct yet interwoven campaigns that allows you to experience terror on a more global scale while fighting a new terror – the C virus!
  • Super Street Fighter IV – This critically acclaimed and fan-loved title brings back the 2D Street Fighter action we know and love with a host of new and returning characters, more advanced online gameplay and much more. Definitely worth checking out if you love button smashing your way to victory! (Maybe that’s just me…)
  • Devil May Cry 4 – Play as Nero in an epic clash, once again, of good vs evil and Nero vs Dante. It seems to be the Marmalade of the DmC series – you either love it or hate it – but it has the thrilling action you would expect from a DmC game along with pretty awesome hack and slash tactics and some awesome weaponry.
  • Dead Rising 2- Perhaps the better of the two zombie games in this collection, Dead Rising 2 sees Chuck Greene make his way to Fortune City to participate in the bloody ‘Terror is Reality’ game show. The prize? Apart from your life (you are fighting zombies after all, with a myriad of mashed-together weaponry), you’re earning vital life-saving medicine for your daughter, who could become a zombie at any moment! Dun..dun…DUN!
  • Mega Man 10 – Last but not least, Mega Man 10 brings back the 8-bit NES-style graphics and retro gameplay you won’t have seen in a while. Take a blast into the past with this retro side-scrolling action platformer with “classically inspired bosses”.

Sound like a good deal? Don’t forget about the awesome and FREE Capcom travel bag! Capcom Essentials will be making its way onto shelves on October 8th 2013, and you can already pre-order it from selected North American online retailers.
