Morrigan Will Not Be A Party Member in Dragon Age: Inquisition
BioWare have released more news about its upcoming RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition, but it may be news that may cause some fans to be deeply disappointed with.
Morrigan a former Witch of the Wilds that helped the Hero of Ferelden bring down the Arch-Demon in the original Dragon Age, was speculated to be a possible playable character and party member after her voice over and appearance in the announcement trailer. Although it may have brought a fluster within the hearts of those that missed her presence, that fluster may immediately turn into a dagger.
In a recent interview with GameInformer Dragon Age Creative Director Mike Laidlaw announced that Morrigan would not be a party member.
“It’s fair for people to understand that [Morrigan] will not be a party member. That’s going to disappoint some people.”
However even though the favored mage will not be a playable party member, Dragon Age writer David Gaider also announced during the interview that Morrigan would play a vital role in the third installment.
“Although, she won’t be cast as one of the followers, her role is important. “It’s not a cameo. She plays a significant role.”
Gaider also added that the decisions players made with Morrigan in the first Dragon Age will affect her character in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released in Fall 2014 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox-360, PlayStation 3 and PC consoles.
